8th - 10th June 2018

24th Gower Folk Festival

Weobley Castle Farm

The Location

This year’s Festival is located at Weobley Castle Farm which is a fully working commercial Farm. The farm site incorporates a Medieval Castle which will form a fantastic backdrop to our Festival. Weobley Castle Farm ,the new festival site is only half a mile from the old site and will be signposted from Llanrhidian.

All refreshments will be provided by Chris and Emily Mabbett (proprietors of the Rake and Riddle) in the form of a food/beer tent situated alongside the main performance tent. The Salt Marsh Lamb for which Weobley Castle Farm is famous is not to be missed.

Weobley Castle

The Castle itself is a wonderful feature for our festival and will be open to visitors. However, we stress that it is not an integral part of the Folk Festival and festival goers who visit the Castle do so at their own risk.

Weather permitting; some of our workshops may very well take place within the walls of the Castle. These will be closely stewarded by our own stewards.

So get on with booking your place as soon as possible.

Remember – Electrical hook-up places are limited and sell out very quickly.

We look forward to seeing you at our Festival.

Once again, we are able to provide camping facilities right next to the Festival Site. The camp Site will be run by Mr Chris Mabbett.

This year we are able to offer 150 camping spaces with 32 electrical hook-ups available.

Fresh water will be available.

The camping field will contain full toilet and shower facilities

Facilities are available for the disposal of chemical toilet waste.

Some recycling facilities will be available.

The Campsite will be available from 2pm on Friday 8th June and should be cleared by 12 pm on Monday 11th June.

Car Parking

Free car parking is available very close to the festival site.

We have always welcomed dogs to our festival and do so again this year. However, as the festival site is located on a working farm we have to insist that all dogs are kept on a lead at all times to protect nearby farm animals.

Gower Beer Festival

Why not make a week of it and stay for the Gower Beer Festival which runs at the same venue from Friday 15th June (the following weekend). Attractive camping rates are available through Mr Chris Mabbett.
