The all-important festival bar is open all weekend with a selection of real ales and the famous (infamous?) prize-winning Mill cider. The
Heritage Centre tea rooms provide soft drinks, tea, coffee, snacks and
a variety of hot meals. There is also a general
stores in the village, open 7 days a week. There are cashpoint machines in the village pub and neighbouring village shops. But the
nearest garage is several miles away.
The nearest pharmacy is a mile away in Pennard.
ACTIVITIES FOR CHILDREN The Gower Heritage Centre is home to a variety of traditional crafts, with shops where you can buy them and regular demonstrations of woodturning and weaving. Activities such as puppet-making, pottery and craft workshops are available for children (at an additional cost). The kids will also have fun seeing all the ducks, chickens and sheep and clambering about in the sand-pit play area. For an up-to-date programme of events go to the Centre’s own website. The Centre is totally child-friendly, with high chairs available in the café and a changing mat in the toilets. Other activities available on Gower include horse-riding, kiting, land-boarding, surfing. See the links page for further details of where to find them.
FACILITIES FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES We try to make the Festival an equal-access event. The Gower Heritage Centre is a heritage site as its name implies, so the surfaces underfoot can be somewhat uneven. But almost everywhere is totally accessible with care. Workshops take place in the local chapel, who are currently installing easy ramped access and disabled parking bays. The end-of-the-day bus service to the campsite and Swansea has wheelchair capacity, although it would help us if you let us know when you book if you will require this. The campsite installed facilities for people in wheelchairs last year. Just let us know if you have specific requirements when you book your tickets so that your visit can be a pleasant one.
